Persian Kittens Health Guarantee
Persian kittens health guarantee
Persian Kittens Persian Kittens wants you to be satisfied with your kittens. We guarantee no problems and offer this health guarantee. At six weeks of age, kittens lose their antibodies as the immunity that the mother built up while nursing begins to wane as the kitten is weaned. When our kittens are six weeks old, we have them examined by a registered veterinarian. Due to controversy over vaccinations, we no longer vaccinate our kittens, leaving it up to the new parents to do so if they wish. We provide a schedule of vaccination recommendations. We keep a detailed record of the kittens' examinations and development, which we provide to the new parents along with a health certificate from a registered veterinarian and a written health guarantee for Persian cats.
Feline Vaccinations between 8 & 14 weeks
•Distemper virus (also called Panleukopenia) – Extremely contagious, often fatal to adults, almost always fatal to kittens. The actual “distemper vaccine includes the following:
—– Rhino tracheitis – most severe & common upper respiratory virus
—– Caliciviral – major cause of upper respiratory disease
—– Chlamydiosis – highly contagious bacterial infection of the eyes
•Feline Leukemia – Feline Leukemia – Number one infectious killer of cats in the US. Any bodily fluid of an infected cat (tears, urine, saliva, blood, etc.) can transmit the disease. Drinking out of the same water dish, playing together, fighting, breeding, or any other contact can also transmit it.
•Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) – Acts upon the immune system, eventually causing permanent liver and kidney problems. Transmitted through any bodily fluids and is also airborne.
Hereditary and Congenital Defects
Persian Kittens also guarantees that all of our kittens are free of known hereditary and congenital defects in cats. We guarantee that all kittens that leave Persian Kittens will be healthy for a period of one year. For this guarantee to be valid, the new owner must have our kittens examined by a licensed veterinarian within 6 days of leaving Persian Kittens to verify the health of our kittens. If the new home has more than one pet, our kitten must be separated from those pets until examined by a veterinarian. We do not recommend removing claws (ever), and do not recommend spaying or neutering until at least 10 months of age. If you plan to do either, please let us know. Our warranty is voided after any surgical procedure is performed on the kitten. We do not guarantee our kittens who present after leaving The Persian Kitten against upper respiratory infections that may occur due to the stress of flying. We also do not guarantee that our kittens are protected against skin diseases, such as fleas or ringworm. These diseases are highly contagious and can be easily transmitted through things like street shoes or even small children, which is uncontrollable. Therefore, we cannot guarantee these conditions.
